This Dorokhsh antique rug, 6' 6" x 12' 3", is woven in wool with a restrained palette of cream, ivory, taupe, and brown. Its allover floral field and layered border recall a classical format, yet the surface has been gently transformed by age. Wear has softened the contrast and left a luminous, weathered character across the composition. Circa 1915 - 1945, it carries the patina of high distress without losing the structure of its original pattern, resulting in a rug that feels grounded, faded, and quietly detailed.
