This Kysari antique rug measures 6' 3" x 9' 1" and carries a softened palette of ivory, blush, and faded red. A tall vase-form medallion rises through the centre, filled with dense floral vines and layered botanical detail, while the surrounding field and border recede into a quieter, washed ground. The composition feels formal yet gently timeworn, with medium distress that has mellowed the contrast and softened the edges of the pattern. Circa 1900 - 1930, it reflects the graceful, decorative language associated with Kysari weaving, rendered here in wool with an aged, tactile finish.
