This Kysari antique rug measures 4' 5" x 5' 11" and presents a prayer-rug composition with a saturated red field, stepped arch, and finely layered floral borders. Ivory, cream, soft gold, and muted blue details temper the warmth of the ground, while the patterned frame gives the whole piece a measured, architectural rhythm. The surface shows low distress, with visible wear that has softened the design without erasing its clarity. Circa 1850 - 1870, it carries the grounded, timeworn presence that defines a Woven selection. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
