This Tabriz antique rug measures 10' 0" x 12' 6" and presents a quiet, timeworn palette of cream, ivory, beige, taupe, brown, and grey. The field carries an allover floral and arabesque language, softened by age into a nearly monochrome, atmospheric composition. A defined border frames the design, while the interior pattern opens and closes with elegant restraint. Woven in wool, it has a dry, velvety surface and pronounced distress that gives the rug its pale, faded depth. Circa 1920 - 1935, it reads as refined, restrained, and deeply layered.
