This Mallayer antique rug measures 3' 7" x 5' 8" and presents a restrained yet intricate field of repeating mihrab-like motifs, enclosed by a narrow red border and a broader floral vine outer frame. Wool weave and low distress give the surface a dry, lived-in tactility, while dusty blue grounds the composition and earthy brown, rust, and ivory details add warmth.
