This Mallayer antique rug in wool measures 5' 9" x 12' 1" and presents a restrained, timeworn palette of ivory, taupe, warm grey, muted brown, and charcoal. The composition is layered with an allover field of floral and geometric motifs, enclosed by multiple borders that hold repeating rosettes and medallion-like forms. Its surface shows a softened, well-aged patina, where pattern and colour have gently merged into one another.
