This Mallayer antique rug measures 3' 4" x 16' 9" and reads with the quiet restraint of a long, narrow runner. A column of hexagonal medallions extends through the field, their faded rose outlines set against a soft ground of cream, beige, taupe, and pale blue. The border work remains legible, with small floral and star motifs framing the composition. Surface wear has softened the drawing and given the whole piece a lived-in patina. Circa 1910 - 1930, it carries the understated character and timeworn elegance that define a well-aged Mallayer antique rug.
