This Mallayer antique rug measures 4' 10" x 10' 8" and carries a timeworn field of brown, cream, and muted blue. The composition is quietly layered, with a structured border framing a softened interior of floral and geometric motifs that emerge and recede through pronounced wear. Large areas of abrasion and fading give the surface a chalky, weathered character, while traces of the original pattern remain visible in the border and medallion accents.
