This Mallayer antique rug measures 3' 7" x 16' 7" and presents a long, refined field alive with layered floral geometry. The composition is closely drawn, with an allover medallion rhythm that shifts from cool blue notes into cream, brown, and softened rust. A narrow border frames the design with floral detail and restrained guard bands, giving the piece a composed, balanced presence. Low distress leaves the surface legible while the fading adds depth and quiet patina. Circa 1910 - 1940. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
