This Tabriz antique rug measures 9' 11" x 13' 2" and presents a richly worn field of ruby red set against cream and ivory grounds, lifted by muted purple and taupe accents. The allover floral lattice is balanced by a formal border system, giving the composition a restrained sense of order even as the surface shows honest age. Circa 1950 - 1970, it carries medium distress, with softened contrast and a pleasingly timeworn patina that gives the pattern depth and quiet movement.
