This Dorokhsh antique rug, measuring 11' 6" x 26' 5", carries a long, elegant field of floral ornament softened by age and wear. The composition opens with layered palmettes, scrolling vines, and an intricate border system that still reads clearly beneath the fade. Cream and white ground tones are lifted by blush and muted rose accents, creating a hushed, tonal surface with depth. Circa 1900 - 1925, it shows the kind of high distress that gives an antique rug its quiet presence, where pattern, abrasion, and lightness of colour become part of the design.
