This Mallayer antique rug measures 8' 7" x 14' 9" and presents an allover floral field in layered teal, green, cream, and muted rust. A stepped central form is dissolved into a dense network of vine and rosette motifs, while the border work remains legible in its finer ornament. The surface shows medium distress with visible fading and abrasion that soften the palette and flatten select passages into a quiet, timeworn glow. Circa 1910 - 1930, it carries the restrained intricacy and patina that define the most collectible Mallayer rugs.
