This Mallayer antique rug, measuring 10' 1" x 22' 11", reads with a quiet, timeworn elegance. A long, elongated medallion settles into a field of softened floral detail, while the border remains only faintly legible beneath layers of wear. The palette moves between neutral cream, taupe, and grey, with muted blue flickers emerging through the surface. High distress gives the piece its atmospheric depth, allowing the design to feel both restrained and richly weathered. Circa 1900 - 1915, it carries the patina and scale of a rug shaped by years of gentle fading.
