This Mallayer antique rug measures 2' 11" x 13' 11" and carries a long, slender presence with a washed field of weathered teal, ivory, and brown tones. The allover lattice pattern is softened by high wear, allowing the border and guard bands to read as quiet architectural lines rather than sharp framing. Its surface shows pronounced fading, mottling, and abrasion, which deepen the rug’s layered, timeworn atmosphere. Circa 1895 - 1910, it reflects the hushed elegance of an antique rug shaped by age and use. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
