This Mallayer antique rug measures 2' 11" x 13' 0", presenting a long, refined field of layered floral medallions, scrolling vines, and stepped frame lines in a softened, timeworn palette. Ivory and taupe ground the composition, while muted teal, faded blue, olive, brown, and charcoal bring depth to the border and inner panels. Circa 1900 - 1920, its allover wear has mellowed the pattern into a quieter register, with visible distress that adds texture and atmosphere.
