This Mallayer antique rug measures 3' 2" x 13' 2" and carries a long, narrow presence shaped by time. A muted teal lattice runs through the centre, while the border system layers floral and geometric bands in cream, brown, and softened white. The surface shows substantial fading and wear, with brighter loss across the field and more intact patterning along the edges, giving the piece a quiet, layered character. Circa 1900 - 1920, it reads as a well-aged antique rug with a balanced mix of structure and erosion, where the remaining motifs feel especially tactile against the washed ground.
