This mallayer antique rug measures 8' 4" x 18' 10" and carries a softly weathered field of ivory, taupe, sage, and muted blue. The composition opens into a faded central medallion, then dissolves into layered floral traces and narrow border remnants that read almost like memory. Circa 1900 - 1930, it shows high distress with substantial wear, gentle fading, and a deeply patinated surface that gives the piece a restrained, atmospheric presence.
