This Mallayer antique rug measures 3' 2" x 15' 8" and presents a long, slender composition softened by time. A faded blue central field is layered with a geometric lattice, restrained medallions, and slender floral accents, all framed by a pale border that nearly dissolves into the ground. The palette moves through cream, ivory, beige, and pale taupe, giving the surface a quiet, weathered elegance. Medium distress and overall fade create a gently worn, textile-rich presence. Circa 1910 - 1930. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
