This Mallayer antique rug measures 6' 5" x 13' 3" and presents a finely layered field of scrolling florals, set within a broad red border of repeating palmettes and foliate forms. Indigo, rust red, ivory, camel, and muted sage shift across the surface with a softly faded hand, giving the composition depth without losing its structure. The long format draws the eye through the pattern rhythmically, while visible wear and age-softened contrast add quiet character.
