This Mallayer antique rug measures 3' 2" x 11' 11" and presents a long, refined profile with a richly worked allover field. The composition layers blue and rust geometric blossoms, ivory floral notes, and warm gold-brown accents within a sequence of narrow borders. Its surface shows low distress, with softened colour and visible wear that lends the pattern a lived-in clarity rather than interruption. The result is grounded and detailed, with the timeworn finish enhancing the rhythm of the design. Circa 1905 - 1920. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
