This Mallayer antique rug measures 3' 1" x 12' 10", with a long, narrow format and a timeworn surface that lets the pattern dissolve into tone. A field of softened medallion and floral motifs sits within a faint border, rendered in neutral white, cream, brown, and quiet rusted accents. The wear is substantial, with broad fading and a patina that blurs the design into an atmospheric whole. Circa 1910 - 1925, it carries the depth and restraint that define a well-aged Mallayer. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
