This MALLAYER antique rug measures 3' 2" x 12' 6", with a long, refined field framed by a narrow floral border and subdued guard bands. The allover lattice composition is drawn in soft taupe and brown over an ivory ground, while faded blush and muted rose accents linger at the ends and in the border. The surface shows medium distress, with gentle fading and visible wear that softens the drawing without losing its structure. Circa 1910 - 1925, it carries the quiet restraint and layered age associated with a well-kept antique rug.
