This Mallayer antique rug measures 3' 3" x 12' 11" and carries a long, time-softened field in cream, ivory, and warm beige. The narrow border frames a faded allover composition of geometric and floral motifs, while small touches of soft blue lend quiet contrast along the sides. High wear has lifted much of the pattern into a hushed, atmospheric surface, giving the piece a layered, lived-in character. Circa 1920 - 1940, it reads as a graceful study in restraint, where age, fade, and texture shape the design as much as the original weaving.
