defer

DEFER’s work begins with the line: repeated, layered and pushed beyond legibility until writing becomes rhythm. rooted in the visual language of Los Angeles graffiti, Alex Kizu’s calligraphic forms move between structure and instinct, carrying an almost meditative intensity.

the collection brings that Spiritual Language into textile through wool rugs and One Love, a 2014 work made with ink and acrylic on a vintage kilim. across each piece, pattern becomes a field of movement—dense, energetic and alive with the presence of the artist’s hand.
