This Kazak runner, woven in wool, reads as a quietly theatrical antique rug. Three large octagonal medallions progress along a deep blue field, their salmon and rust centres relieved by ivory geometric hooks and lozenge guards. The palette, blue, warm red and neutral, retains a restrained vibrancy under a soft, time-worn sheen; pile is evenly preserved with low visible wear.
