An antique Bijar in wool, defined by a large central medallion set into a layered, scrolling floral field and surrounded by multiple guarded borders. The woven surface reads in a muted palette of neutral, brown, cream and white, softened by medium wear and nuanced abrash that reveals the rug’s tactile depth. Motifs retain clear geometry while the surface shows graceful abrasion and selective fading, lending a painterly, timeworn presence. The wool pile and dense composition remain evident in the way light and age have settled into the design. Measurements: 11' 2" x 18' 8".
