This Bijar antique rug measures 7' 10" x 18' 4" and presents a long, disciplined composition softened by time. A row of elongated medallions stretches through the centre, surrounded by an intricate floral field and framed by layered borders in cream, brown, and faded rust. The palette has settled into muted terracotta, taupe, and soft grey, giving the surface a quiet, weathered depth. Medium distress leaves the pattern beautifully tempered, with visible wear that enhances its old-world character. Circa 1925 - 1940, it carries the grounded presence and refined ornament associated with a classic Bijar.
