An elegant Mahal Ziegler woven in wool, this 9' 9" x 14' 0" antique rug presents a dense, all-over field of geometric medallions, stylised palmettes and compact rosette fills. The palette balances warm rust and neutral grounds with turquoise and sky-blue accents, held by a deep navy guard border. Low visible distress preserves a supple, tactile pile and a quiet patina; subtle abrash and even wear articulate age without obscuring the design. Multiple narrow guard borders frame the mosaic-like composition, emphasising its architectural rhythm and refined hand. Circa 1915 - 1930
