A broad Khorasan woven in wool, this antique rug reads as an exercise in restraint: a pale cream field, brown outlines and a measured, refined medallion resolved into floral arabesques. Multiple guard borders and a wider foliate main border frame the composition while subtle abrash and medium wear soften the pattern to a tactile, timeworn surface. The wool retains a tactile sense of hand and age while the neutral palette lets scale and proportion take center stage. Circa 1895 - 1925. Exact size: 16' 6" x 21' 3".
