This Khorasan antique rug measures 11' 1" x 18' 0" and presents an allover field of floral vines, palmettes, and boteh-inspired details softened by age. The palette moves between blue, cream, white, and muted coral, with deeper navy and burgundy held in the borders. Broad fading across the centre lends a quiet, painterly quality, while the surrounding guard borders remain legible and intricate. Circa 1895 - 1910, it carries the grounded balance and decorative density associated with Khorasan weaving, here expressed through a worn but composed surface and a naturally time-softened finish.
