A compact Turkaman in wool, measuring 3' 4" x 5' 0", this piece presents a disciplined field of repeating gul medallions on a warm cream ground. Rich red guard borders and narrow geometric bands frame the centre, where disciplined registers and miniature motifs create a quiet rhythm. The pile shows low wear and the colours retain clear saturation with gentle abrash that reads as hand and age. Fringe and edges remain tidy, giving the piece a finished presence as an antique rug. Circa 1890 - 1910. The tactile wool surface and rigorous geometry make this a study in tribal weave language.
