An early 20th-century Khotan with a deep, saturated red field worn to a soft, tactile patina. Two figural children recline beside a vase of stylised blooms, a bird and restrained floral corner medallions completing the composition. The wool shows medium distress with even abrash and softened highlights that read like faded dye. The graphic, pictorial centre retains a direct, almost naive charm that feels both domestic and deliberate. This antique rug measures 6' 8" x 4' 10", its cream and white accents quieting the intense red for a measured, heritage-rich presence. Circa 1900 - 1920
