An Oushak worked in wool with a quietly luminous neutral field and a soft ivory ground. A calm allover of rosettes, diamond medallions and small palmettes is set within a low-contrast rose-tinted guard border; the composition feels airy and measured. The 6' 5" x 9' 8" dimensions and medium distress lend a relaxed, tactile presence, the pile softened and colours muted into a gentle patina. This antique rug shows even abrash and worn passages that read as intentional ageing rather than loss. Circa 1900 - 1930. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
