An expansive Oushak in soft neutrals, 13' 0" x 15' 10", rendered in wool and worn to a luminous patina. Large-scale arabesque motifs and scrolling palmettes read as muted shapes beneath a field of ivory and cream; a wide guard border holds repeating cartouches that float toward the centre. The surface shows high distress with even abrash and gentle pile loss that softens the original geometry, giving the piece a quiet, tactile presence. This antique rug’s faded palette and generous scale are evidence of long use and careful handling. Circa 1900 - 1920
