A composed Bakhtiari runner in wool, the piece reads as a study in restrained colour and pattern. A deep navy field hosts a vertical lattice of serrated medallions in cream, muted blue and tan, each medallion articulated with small palmettes and vine motifs. Multiple geometric floral borders frame the field, their cream ground softening the overall contrast. The pile shows low, even wear and a calm abrash that lends the piece tactile depth. This antique rug, measured 8' 2" x 13' 4", feels collected rather than contrived, an object of craft and quiet presence. Circa 1925 - 1940
