This Sultanabad presents a quietly elegant, all-over floral composition in a softened polychrome. The field’s blue-grey neutral ground is patterned with palmettes, small medallions and fine vinework, while a coral-red scrolling border frames the design. Wool pile shows low, even wear and gentle abrash that reads as atmospheric aging rather than heavy distress. Tactile and composed, the cloth retains clarity of motif and a softened hand from years of gentle use. Circa 1900 - 1915.
