A Khotan in wool, its field patterned with an allover grid of pale roundels set against a muted brown ground. The repeating roundel lattice reads as both geometry and ornament, its small hooked motifs softened by years of use. Narrow geometric guard borders frame the field, their cream and brown notes offering restrained contrast to the neutral field. Surface abrash and even fading lend the piece a tactile, quiet depth; edges show gentle wear. This antique rug measures 5' 10" x 8' 8" and carries a heritage-worn presence shaped by age and craft. Circa 1890 - 1910.
