An intimate Indo-Kashan in wool, measured at 3' 5" x 5' 3", where a compact palmette and arch composition unfolds into a lively flowering vine field. The color composition pairs deep blue and purple accents with cream and white highlights, giving the motifs a clear, tactile presence. Borders layer small rosettes and scrolling leaves that frame the centre with delicate precision. Low distress preserves a soft pile and keeps pattern definition crisp while subtle abrash offers visual depth. This antique rug reads as a thoughtful, mid-century interpretation of traditional Kashan idioms. Circa 1905 - 1920.
