A long Kurd runner rendered in wool, this antique rug pairs a deep, neutral-rich field with a vivid red border and cream guard stripes. The dense repeating small motifs read as a tiled, botanical ground, their scale suited to the narrow proportions. Pile shows low, even wear with subtle abrash that softens contrast while preserving the original color rhythm. The borders remain crisp, the ends gently worn, and the hand of the weaving feels immediate and tactile. Circa 1900 - 1915. Measurements: 4' 0" x 15' 5". The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
