This Khotan is a quietly refined antique rug in wool, its long field defined by two stepped diamond medallions set against a softened grey-blue ground and warm terracotta accents. Intricate miniature rosettes and hooked motifs populate the medallion interiors while layered guard borders and a meander outer band frame the composition. The palette reads as weathered and tactile, with subtle abrash that enhances the sense of age and hand. Low visible wear preserves a gentle pile and intact edges. Measures 7' 1" x 13' 4". Circa 1900 - 1920. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
