A quietly luminous Khotan in warm neutrals and softened red, handworked in wool and showing the slow bloom of age. The 6' 4" x 12' 3" field holds a repeated vocabulary of hooked guls and palmettes, framed by layered geometric guards that read like a faded frieze. Subtle abrash shifts the ground from pale salmon to deeper red, lending depth to the neutral and cream accents. Surface wear is consistent and honest, a medium distress that reveals texture and craft. An antique rug with a calm, tactile presence, preserved with gentle character. Circa 1895 - 1910
