Oushak / 11675

This Oushak measures 10' 2" x 10' 10" and is composed in soft wool with a quietly aged temperament. The field reads warm neutral and terracotta, punctuated by rust, gold and small teal highlights. Repeating medallions and a stylised floral lattice settle into broad stepped borders, the motifs softened by low, even distress and gentle abrash. The surface has a tactile, brushed hand and a calm, heritage-aware presence. This antique rug balances deliberate scale and muted polychromy with an overall mellow patina. Circa 1885 - 1925, the piece exemplifies historic Oushak character held in-house for close study.
