A long, quietly saturated Kurd in warm red and cream, handwoven in wool with a tightly repeated boteh and palmette lattice that reads like a textile field. The 5' 8" x 13' 4" proportions create a measured rhythm of motifs and narrow guard stripes, while subtle abrash and even surface patina speak to age without heavy loss. Low distress preserves crisp small-scale detailing across the centre and borders. This antique rug balances tactile pile and restrained decoration; its handmade wool gives a soft, lived-in presence and an assured sense of craft. Circa 1880 - 1895
