Aubusson in a restrained white and cream palette, woven in wool and worn to a whispered patina. The design reads as a faint central medallion framed by a scrolling border and painterly bouquets; rose and gold accents emerge through long-term fading. High distress gives the piece a softened, almost watercolour surface where motifs dissolve into the field. This large antique rug retains an elegant, lived-in presence and visible hand in every thread. Circa 1890 - 1920. Size: 15' 6" x 17' 0". The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
