A Ghashgai in warm, muted tones, handwoven in wool and presenting a large central lozenge set into darker corner spandrels. At 5' 9" x 8' 7", the field is dense with small palmettes and scrolling boteh, surrounded by stepped guard bands and an ivory-toned main border. The pile shows medium, even wear and a layered patina that reads tactile and matte; subtle abrash and softened highlights reveal decades of use without losing design clarity. This antique rug reads as both tribal geometry and refined floral detail, a quietly weathered piece where colour and texture speak to craft and time. Circa 1885 - 1925
