Layered guard borders of cream and muted red frame a disciplined central lattice, their rosette and vine motifs rendered with tactile, low-contrast tones. Low distress preserves a supple pile, with small areas of light loss that reveal the rug’s age and hand. This antique rug feels quietly composed and purposefully detailed, a study in restrained color and pattern. Circa 1885 - 1935. Size: 3' 3" x 10' 8".
