Wool pile has softened with age to reveal layered stepped lozenge medallions and a dense arrangement of geometric floral details, framed by narrow multi-band borders. Surface abrasion and even fading lend a chalky patina and immediate tactility to the weave; the piece shows medium distress consistent with long use.
