A confident Bakhshaish in saturated rust-red and indigo, its central rectangular medallion set within a navy cartouche and ivory centre. The wool field carries angular boteh, hooked motifs and small geometric rosettes, composed with the broad, painterly gestures associated with Bakhshaish design. Layered guard borders provide structural restraint while the low distress preserves a soft, tactile pile and subtle abrash across the field. Edges retain original character with minimal losses, lending a quietly lived-in presence. This antique rug balances bold motif and weathered tactility. Circa 1890 - 1910. Exact size 12' 0" x 14' 0".
