A Bakhshaish runner woven in soft wool, this elongated composition balances a pale cream field with coral-red borders and turquoise accents. The all-over lattice animates with stylised palmettes and hooked boteh, each motif softened by subtle abrash and gentle age. Low distress preserves a tactile pile and a sense of original hand. The palette reads warm yet restrained, the surface quietly worked with blues and brown highs. Circa 1885 - 1925.
