A compact wool Saddle Bag, 1' 8" x 3' 9", that reads as a concise study in tribal geometry and tactile weave. Two matched pouch panels flank a narrow central panel bound by braided straps; the composition is animated by repeating geometric guls set against a warm brown ground and punctuated with cream and white accents. The pile shows low wear with soft abrash that enhances the textiles sense of age and hand. This antique rug carries a small, purposeful scale and a quiet, crafted presence. Circa 1885 - 1915.
